At Lakeside, we are more concerned with people’s hearts than what they are wearing. Feel free to wear what you want, whether that’s a suit (maybe we see one a month) or shorts. We are a Protestant church in the Methodist or Wesleyan tradition. Our beliefs are classical Christian and are summarized here.
Children are a huge part of Lakeside. We’re blessed with many at all ages. They are invited to participate in the early part of worship and around the mid-point of our service have an opportunity to head to our children’s church where they’ll receive age appropriate teaching in a fun and relatable way. They are, of course, welcome to stay with those who brought them. We have a nursery just down the hall from the sanctuary for wee ones which is staffed by church volunteers.
We know that visiting a new church can often be intimidating so don’t worry, we won’t ask you to raise your hand as our guest, or do anything that will embarrass or single you out in any way.
